As much as we LOVE our usual spots, sometimes I like to try something out of our ordinary, something new. That is how we found Nelly’s, located on 48 right in the heart of Centerville. While they serve traditional Bolivian fare, the decor is fresh and modern.
Upon our first trip there, I ordered their speciality, a Bolivian-style rotisserie chicken with beans and vegetables. My husband, who does not eat eggs, surprises me by ordering their Silpancho (a beef dish served over rice and fries with an egg and pico de gallo). The flavors of both dishes were unique and unlike anything we’d had before, which was exactly what we were looking for. So good!

We’ve since been back a few times, and while my husband, creature of habit that he is, orders the same thing, I prefer to try different dishes on the menu. On our subsequent trips, I’ve ordered their Chicken Salad Sandwich, the chicken and beef Rellenos, and the Planchitas, all of which I recommend.

Overall, we were both very impressed by Nelly’s. The food is excellent, as is the service (they are incredibly friendly and attentive!), and we love the general ambiance of the place. We’ll be back to visit many, many more times!
